Greetings and welcome to our new website!

As many of you know, Yodifee grew out of the LaValla School project and the way we have worked since beginning our operations resembles a family more than any other type of unit, with all the triumphs and trials that such a situation inevitably brings with it. This background also means that we tend to tackle situations and issues as a family would. We are very proud of this, particularly as we see this family develop.

The year 2008 has been an extremely busy one for us here in Takhmao, with numerous projects being launched as well as the continuation of our work with disabled people all over the country. We have a lot of projects, and are doing a lot of hard work, but thanks to the diligence of our staff, and the understanding of our supporters we look forward to the future with optimism.

The opening of Yodicafe in Phnom Penh in July was a very big step, but one which we feel can help us to diversify and a step which was in line with our mission of trying to find new employment and training opportunities for people with disabilities. We have also been working hard to promote the work of Yodicraft, the business wing of our NGO. We hope to have an online catalogue up soon so that you can purchase items online. Meanwhile please contact me on yodicraft@yodifee.org so we can e-mail you a catalogue.

As well as this we have been very busy with the our other projects - such as Villa Maria, our farm in Battambang and the construction of another farm in Kampot. As many of you know Villa Maria houses a number of children, and we are doing our utmost to ensure that they get schooling and training that will prepare them to become fully functional members of society.

This year has not been without its troubles. As I am sure you know the price of rice is increasing constantly. Add to that the global financial and oil crisis which has effected us too, and you begin to understand that many times we have to perform financial juggling acts to keep up with expenses. We do survive however, and although there is a long way to go before we realise our vision completely, we are satisfied with what we have achieved so far.

Whilst hoping that you enjoy our website, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have donated money, time, or support to our mission over the years. I would also like to welcome people who have never heard of our organisation to this website, and invite them to learn more about us and our work. And if you have any feedback please feel free to drop us a line, all our contact details are in the contact section. Welcome!
